Day 2-3 Fes

Visit one of the world's largest Mosque's in Casablanca - Hassan II. In medieval Fes, wander the narrow alleyways of the medina as the call to prayer floats over Fes el-Bali at dusk.

Day 4 Midelt

Journey through Morocco's cedar forests in the Middle Atlas Mountains to the peaceful, rural village of Midelt. Stop by a handicraft workshop run by Franciscan nuns - a great place to pick up a beautifully crafted souvenir.

Day 5 Merzouga/Sahara

Journey through lush valleys dotted with date palms en route to the mighty Sahara Desert. Make like Lawrence of Arabia and embark on a camel ride into the distance to watch the sunset over the shifting sands of the cinnamon-red Erg Chebbi dunes.

Day 6 Todra Gorge

Marvel at the towering limestone cliffs of Morocco's famous Todra Gorge before the journey continues to Dades Gorge via a series of spectacular hairpin bends.

Day 7 Ait ben Haddou

This ancient medina of Ait Benhaddou has had many cameo roles in some of Hollywood's favourites, so take in the view of this epic World Heritage site. Work up an appetite exploring this grand Kasbah, before learning the secrets of creating Moroccan cuisine at a cooking demonstration.

Day 8-11 Marrakech

The throng of Marrakech is the ultimate Moroccan experience. Traditional music echoes through the spice markets, and the scent of beautiful tagines drifts across the Djemaa el Fna. Like an Arabian Night's story, Marrakech is full of Morocco's trademark colour and energy, and will leave you not quite ready to leave.
