Gay Nepal Experience

Days 1-2 Kathmandu

With its monkey temples, living goddesses and markets of every kind, Kathmandu is a legendary city. Take a guided tour of Kathmandu and visit the Monkey Temple, Bodhnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Days 3-5 Kathmandu Valley

Discover the Nepali countryside. Hike the Kathmandu Valley, through subtropical forests and across a softly undulating landscape to Nagarkot's spectacular lookout point. Descend through terraced farmlands to quaint Bhaktapur where you stay at the Famous Farm, a picturesque renovated property which features a fully functioning garden affording you to truly eat local.

Day 6 Trisuli River

See Nepal from water-level along the Trisuli River, camping overnight on a river beach. Today you take on grade 2-4 rapids while rafting down the river for approximately 5 hours before setting up camp on the sandy banks of the river.

Day 7 Bandipur

Start off the day with a few more hours of rafting before driving to Bandipur. The hilltop village of Bandipur has been largely untouched by tourism and is an excellent opportunity to experience Newari village life. You have free time in the afternoon and an optional guided tour of the surrounding areas.

Day 8 Pokhara

In the early morning we head off towards Pokhara. Once part of the trade route between India and Tibet, Pokhara lies in the shadow of the Annapurnas. There is free time in the afternoon to prepare for the upcoming trek ahead with a walk to Sarangkot or a bike ride through the rural landscape.

Days 9-12 Siklis Trek

Follow roads less-travelled on a trek through the remote Siklis area. Walk along the Mardi Khola River through the land of the friendly Gurung people before climbing through terraced fields and alpine forests to Tara Top - the views of the ranges are spectacular. Enjoy a shady descent through rhododendron forests filled with orchids, lichen and moss on the return to Pokhara Valley. There is also the option of taking a local bus to Bhaktapur.

Day 13 Pokhara

After four intense, but stunning, days of trekking, finish off with a two hour hike back to your transportation which will bring you back to Pokhara. Take some time in the afternoon to unwind at a cafe, take a boat ride across the lake or pick up some Nepali or Tibetan trinkets in the Old Bazaar.

Days 14-15 Kathmandu

Take a short flight back to Kathmandu where your incredible adventure comes to an end. There are no planned activities on the last two days, so you are free to explore Nepal's exciting capital at your own pace.
