On arrival in Quebec City, you will begin your Quebec escape with a luxurious limousine transfer to your downtown, centrally located, gay-friendly luxury hotel for the next 2 or 3 nights – you choose! From the moment the doorman welcomes you into the lobby we promise you will feel pampered and cared for.
Exuberant, romantic Quebec City welcomes you…set in a beautiful natural background of Vieux-Quebec (Old Quebec) is small and dense, steeped in four centuries of history and French traditions. Because of the site’s immaculate preservation as the only fortified city remaining in North America, UNESCO has designated Vieux-Quebec a World Heritage Site.
Alone time is essential for you and your partner. We want you to enjoy your valuable time together taking pleasure in a couples massage at your hotel. For those staying at the luxurious Auberge Saint Antoine you will be taken on a historical 20-minute tour of one of Quebec City’s most significant archeological sites.
After the tour make sure you take some time to explore Quartier Petit Champlain, it’s a MUST-SEE – At the bottom of Côte de la Montagne, escalier Casse-Cou (Breakneck Stairs, walk down them but not up!) and the funicular (elevator ride up), lies the Petit-Champlain district, a picture-perfect neighbourhood resembling a quaint riverside village with plenty of exclusive boutiques, restored houses now home to bistros, art galleries and specialized handicraft boutiques. If shopping’s up you alley then be sure to head to Place Laurier for great one-of-a-kind boutiques and the always chic Simon’s department store – it’s GREAT; you can also take the FREE shuttle to Place Laurier, ask your concierge at the hotel.
Gastronomy is very important in Quebec City and your dinner tonight will truly be an experience – Panache, located in a maritime warehouse built in 1822 is the only maritime warehouse of its era remaining in the city and offers exceptional intimacy and stunning views of the bustling river.
At your leisure embark on guided tour of the historical crescent of the Old Harbour in Quebec, and take in the architectural beauty of the neighbourhood while riding on a pollution-free, cycle rickshaw. Discover the heritage and gastronomic culture of Quebec City with a 20-minute stop at Old Harbour market. Meet the merchants, browse through the jewellery, soaps made of goat’s milk, and local liquors, and make sure to try some famous Quebec cheese.
For those staying on for a third relaxing night, the best way to complete your Quebec experience is with a Sunset Boat Cruise with the largest floating terrace in Quebec – take in the breathtaking beauty of “la Vieille Capitale”!
